[It's been a while since she visited the greenhouse, and it's almost a surprise to find it hasn't been warped in some way from one week to the next. Then again, the cage around them does change every day, doesn't it? Why change the picture within the picture?
Dainsleif is here, and it's almost a surprise to see him here, apparently lost in thought to himself.]
I could have taken you for a statue. [She enters the cage, keen sense of smell immediately assaulted by the overbearing roses.] It's getting very dark out here.
I would argue that's only possible if what is "real" and what is "true" align. But then... that's only because I have some experience with illusions.
[It's regrettable that experience can't allow her to untangle anything here; her tacet mark is as dormant on her tongue as it's been since the day she arrived. At least it's helped her maintain some perspective on the matter of truth and reality.]
...Do you think anyone is? Contented in a cage. That letter we received suggests otherwise.
I have some as well, though not to the point I'd like.
[ The Abyss is full of illusions at times, and he's done some hotheaded things running around in there, knowing this. So...he doesn't consider his experience much too helpful in this regard. ]
Personally, I don't think anyone is.
However, some people prefer to delude themselves that they are, while their soul is screaming and crying out for release.
week 3, monday

I wouldn't have blamed you.
[ He's already been here for some time, without moving. ]
Dark and still - and I already look like this.
...What made you come this way? Happenstance?
no subject
Not exactly. I believe our days of unintentional wandering may be behind us.
[Though she also hadn't come here with an exact purpose.]
I wondered if anything had changed...yet this place still remains much the same.

Well, maybe he isn't exactly always counting himself in there, it's fine. ]
Maybe it's purposeful. Although some things may change, some things don't.
Like the concept of all things eternal. If this place is meant to be a symbol of that, it could remain like this, for all time.

[She really does dislike this place on principle.]
Things in cages don't exactly need to be reminded of it.
no subject
Though, how many people here take it as one, and instead mistake it for as bright and warm as the real sun? ]
...Sometimes, people forget that where they are is within a cage as well.
The reminder is unnecessary; but, everyone here shouldn't allow themselves to become content in one, either.
Reality can be cruel, though because it is, it must be faced head on.
